Barrow’s Christmas market

Barrow BID delivered another successful event, bringing Christmas spirit to those who attended despite facing incredibly challenging circumstances.

On December 7th, the organisation experienced a devastating break-in, during which charitable donations, including toys and chocolates generously contributed by local businesses for upcoming Christmas events, were stolen inculding damages to property. This unfortunate loss has had a direct impact on Barrow BID’s ability to serve the community effectively in the coming weeks.

The event, held at Portland Walk and featuring the Mall and local shops, was a triumph showcasing community spirit

However, we are deeply heartbroken by the break-in. Barrow BID is a not-for-profit organisation run by passionate individuals who work tirelessly to support and uplift the town.

To help Barrow BID recover during these difficult times, a Just Giving page has been set up. If you would like to contribute, we’ve included the link below. Your support would mean so much and help ensure future community events can continue to thrive.

On a brighter note, Saturday’s event was a huge success, with numerous stalls and active participation from local businesses. This remarkable turnout highlights the strength, unity, and resilience of our community. Every single customer who supports their local businesses during these challenging times is greatly appreciated—thank you for helping keep our town’s spirit alive.
